Nimaya Naari

A complete learning-management product for the Nimaya Foundation's women's education and skilling programmes: a Nimaya Naari mobile app for learners and a multi-role admin dashboard for the teams running the projects.

Role
Led end-to-end development of the Nimaya LMS product at Workverse.
Stack
React Native · Next.js · Node.js · AWS · Redis

The problem

The Nimaya Foundation runs education and skilling programmes for women across states, colleges and partner institutes. That needs two very different surfaces over one set of rules: learners on a phone finding the right programme, and staff on the web running projects, batches, funders and compliance.

My role & responsibilities

  • Led development of the product end to end.
  • Nimaya Naari React Native learner app, delivered to the Play Store.
  • Multi-role Next.js admin panel for the foundation's teams.
  • Scheduling, attendance, assessments, content delivery, certifications, compliance and real-time notifications.
  • Project, batch, funder and partner-institute management in the dashboard.

Architecture

  1. 01

    Learner app

React Native client. A guided onboarding narrows state → city → college → learner, so a woman reaches her own programmes in a few taps.

  2. 02

    Admin panel

Next.js, multi-role: project management, content kits, batches, tasks, tickets, media library, funders and funder reporting.

  3. 03

    Platform

Node.js back end on AWS with Redis in the stack and real-time notifications.

Engineering decisions

  • Share a single backend across the mobile app and the admin panel so rules (roles, attendance, certification) live in one place.
  • Use role-based access so one admin codebase serves funders, batch managers and foundation staff.
  • Make onboarding a narrowing sequence rather than one long form, because learners join from hundreds of colleges.

Challenges

  • Covering mobile and web surfaces from one data model.
  • Handling roles, compliance and notifications without a sprawling permission matrix.
  • Reporting that satisfies funders without adding manual work for the teams on the ground.

What shipped

  • Nimaya Naari learner app (Play Store), multi-role admin dashboard and the backend behind both. Live at nimaya.in.

Dashboard figures and project names are blurred in the screenshot; no foundation data is published here.
